Locker Locks

Locker locks lead a harder life than most. They're turned multiple times a day, often by people in a hurry, in environments — changing rooms, sports facilities, schools, warehouses — where the hardware gets little in the way of care or attention. When one starts playing up, or a key goes missing, the whole locker becomes useless to whoever relies on it. Sorting it quickly is the priority.

The locks in this section are built specifically for steel locker applications, and the spec reflects that. Both the Lowe & Fletcher 2201 and the Union 4348 are 7-lever deadbolt locker locks — that lever count puts them well above the security level of a standard cam lock, and the deadbolt mechanism means the lock holds firm when closed rather than relying on a spring to keep it shut. For lockers in higher-traffic or higher-risk environments, that distinction matters.

The L&F 2303 takes a different approach with a spring bolt rather than a deadbolt. The door self-latches on closing without needing to turn the key — which makes it the practical choice for any situation where users are expected to secure their locker every time they leave it, without relying on them to remember to lock up. Gyms and leisure centres tend to favour this for exactly that reason.

The master key system is what makes these locks genuinely useful for facilities management. Each 7-lever locker lock with master key facility gives every user their own unique key while allowing the site manager, security, or maintenance team to access any locker with a single master key. That's standard practice in schools, workplaces, and leisure facilities — and it means a lost user key doesn't require replacing the entire lock, just issuing a new cut. The ZA and ZL series master keys here correspond to the 2201 and 2303 series respectively, so it's worth checking which series is already installed before ordering.

Fitting is consistent across the range: these are all designed as direct replacements for standard steel locker lock cutouts, which keeps the job clean and straightforward.
