Asec Garage Door Bolts - Pair
Garage doors, whether they are modern or older designs, generally come with a single, key operated lock. While this can provide reasonable security, it does take too much to break through these locks, so some kind of supplementary locking device is recommended. Let’s face it, even if there is no car in the garage, there could still be thousands of pounds worth of tools, garden equipment or bikes in there, so good security is very important.
A good example is the Asec garage door bolts which are supplied in pairs and are Keyed Alike for convenience. If you have, for example, an up and over style door you can attach these locks either side of the door so that the bolt goes across and into the doorframe. Alternatively you could fit them at the bottom of the door so that the bolts go downwards and into the ground (preferably a solid surface like concrete).
