How to measure a Bullet Lock

Bullet locks are found on roller shutter doors, they are used with a bullet lock housing that is welded to the outer edge of the shutter guide rail.  Bullet locks are normally found in pairs with a single lock attached to each side of the roller shutter door.  For ease of use these locks are typically supplied keyed alike, with one key operating a number of bullet locks, this reduces the number of keys required when unlocking a shutter.

Bullet locks are available in a few different shapes and sizes.  When replacing locks it is essential to order the correct product, otherwise the new bullet may not fit into the existing housing. To correctly measure a bullet lock please follow these simple guidelines and video.
