Locks

A lock is a mechanical or electronic fastening device that is released by a physical object such as a key, keycard, fingerprint, security token or combination.  Locks can be fitted to doors and windows and are available in many shapes, sizes and colours to fit all sorts of locking needs.

How to identify you lock

Is the lock inside the door? – Mortice.  Is the lock on the inside of the door? – Rim Lock or Nightlatch

Does the lock have any markings or stamps?

What type of keys does the lock use?
