Features
Adams Rite MS1848 Sliding Patio Door Deadlock suitable for narrow stile sliding doors available in both deadlocking and self latching versions.
Operation
Can be operated from either side by any standard bored type cylinder
Designed to fit within very narrow stile sliding door stiles without compromising the high degree of security needed by these doors. The stainless steel bolt has three unusual features: Adjustability: A full 4.6mm lengthening or shortening of bolt projection can be made by turning an exposed screw in the face of the lock. This can compensate for a considerable misalignment between door and jamb. Self Protection: If the door is closed with the bolt in the locked position, the bolt will retract immediately on contact with the jamb, preventing damage or lock-out. Anti-Lifting: The 3-ply laminated stainless steel hookbolt is designed to withstand approximately 1„2 ton of force vertically or horizontally, thus protecting against jamb/door attack. The MS®1848 can be operated by a standard bored type cylinder, with three hub slot positions allowing installation even where jamb and stile design provides severely limited turn clearance.
